About Helen Murphy

Junior Canine Behaviourist
& Dog Trainer

helen.jpg

Helen Murphy joined Nature's Therapies Animal Behaviour, as a Junior Behaviourist in August 2024:

Hi, I’m Helen, and I don’t like to talk about myself, but I do tend to waffle! Which is one of the many reasons why I decided to work with and alongside many different species to humans but mainly dogs. When I finally left a long-term office job in 2019 after some very stressful months of being signed off with stress and anxiety. I was working with dogs 5 days a week at Anna’s Ark dog daycare. This was and still is my therapy. I thank all I had learnt in puppy classes to bring me to this magical life. I’ve learnt more about dogs here than most of the courses I have taken.

In 2020 when I was asked by someone I have so much respect for in the training world, if I wanted to take over classes within the vets, I was scared, shocked and honoured. There was no other choice but to give it a go and I've never looked back. Understanding and then translating dogs in the most positive of ways, is exactly what I want to continue to do.

I am yet again shocked, scared and honoured to have just started a L5 diploma and then be asked to work with one of the highest qualified, accredited and well respected animal behaviourists in the country (Liz). Wow! All I can say to anyone else following and enjoying their dream job, is to keep moving forward, stay true and real to yourself and others and the doors will just keep opening. Wish me luck and I look forward to seeing you all soon, especially your pups.
